Transportation
Collegiate School is conveniently located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The school is easily accessible by public transportation, Collegiate is one block from the 79th Street subway station (#1 train) and the Broadway stop of the M79 crosstown bus. Alternately, you can take the 2 or 3 express train to 72nd Street and walk 6 blocks uptown.

Venue
Collegiate School, a K-12 day school for boys, is the oldest independent school in the United States. Tracing its origins to 1628, the school was established by the Dutch West India Company and the Classis of Amsterdam, the parent ecclesiastical body of the Dutch Reformed Church for the colonists of New Amsterdam. As New York City expanded to the north, the school moved from its original quarters on the southern tip of Manhattan Island to a number of different locations. In 1892 it settled at its present site next to the West End Collegiate Church, where Collegiate took on its modern form as an all boys' school and continued to develop its college preparatory program.
While Collegiate is no longer a church-directed institution, the school maintains its historic association with the Collegiate Churches and shares some facilities with the West End Collegiate Church. A non-denominational school, Collegiate attracts a diverse group of boys, families, and faculty that has characterized the school for many years.
Pre-Party
On Friday, March 5th there will be an opportunity for TEDxNYED attendees to meet each other prior to our event. We will be congregating at the Dublin House at 8pm. See you there.

On March 6th, immediately after TEDxNYED, there will be a party at the Parlour Irish Pub. There will be specials on drinks. Please join us and extend the conversations started during the event.
