Juliette LaMontagne

Juliette LaMontagne, Ed.D., is a catalyst for disruptive innovations in public education promoting unschooled learning experiences as a Leadership Coach for the Asia Society International Studies Schools Network. Her current start-up schools are part of the NYC Department of Education’s innovation initiative, The iZone. She consults for the Student Press Initiative, an urban literacy program, and is the former founding director of VOW Arts, a program engaging adolescent girls in activism through the arts. She spent four years on faculty at Teachers College, Columbia University in the Secondary English Education Program. LaMontagne the co-author of Becoming (Other)wise: Enhancing Critical Reading Perspectives, a TED Senior Fellow, a Google Certified Teacher, a DoubleTake Documentarian Institute Teaching Fellow, an alumna and lecturer at the Woodhull Institute for Young Women and Ethical Leadership, and a recipient of an Outstanding Teaching Award from Columbia University.
